We are looking for a science enthusiast who helps us further develop our novel, advanced biomaterial. As an intern you experience the engineering of our products first-hand – you support us in optimizing our material and creating great products! We are a young company - with a big vision: a future free of pollution and waste! At traceless, we engineer advanced biomaterials that integrate into nature's biological cycle without leaving a trace. Our innovative technology allows us to produce biomaterials from plant residues that are naturally compostable and holistically sustainable. Now we need to scale up our production to replace as much plastic and bioplastic as possible with our materials - and that's where you come in!

 

About the position

As Product Development Intern, you will help us further optimize and develop our traceless materials. With your assistance, you help us to make them applicable to a maximum array of applications to make the biggest possible contribution to solving global plastic pollution! This role offers a great opportunity to gain experience with developing, optimizing, and engineering natural polymer-based products and establish traceless as the market leader for compostable plastic substitute materials. You will

• be involved in the most important topics and get responsibility from day one

• continuously support the development of traceless materials in close collaboration with the members of the Product Development team

• be involved in the planning and execution of experiments, and the collection of data and their analysis
   

Who we are looking for

​

• You are a BSc/MSc student in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or another related field of study and have a passion for science and sustainability

• You have a basic technical understanding of bio(polymer) structures, interactions, processing techniques, and polymer compounds

• You have some experience working in a lab, possess basic knowledge of characterization techniques for polymeric materials, and are not afraid of tricky challenges

• You are also practically minded and do not shy away from getting your hands dirty

• You are proficient in both spoken and written English, other languages are a plus

• You think innovatively, are open-minded, a team player and have a sense of humour
