Start-Up, Full-Time Employment

Do you want to help us solve the global plastic pollution? Are you an expert in product development in the plastics industry and looking to use your skills to create positive impact? Do you enjoy finding solutions for complex, new challenges? Are you interested in helping to build an ambitious start-up from the very beginning? Then we are looking for you!

85% of all plastics ever produced are still in landfills or swimming in our oceans. As they are not compostable there, they lead to serious environmental and marine pollution. Consumers, industry and politics are looking for solutions - we have one! We at traceless materials have developed an innovative technology for the production of a novel, advanced material from agricultural residues, which can substitute plastics in products that often end up in nature. Our products are 100% bio-based, do not compete with food production, are fully home compostable, have up to 87% lower CO2 emissions and are competitive in quality and price. And this is where you come in!

As Application Engineer, you will help us to further optimize and develop our traceless paper coating. With your technical experience in paper coating (chemistry and machinery) you will help our customers to convert the traceless coating on their machines. You will help them to enable a transition to use the traceless paper coating for a maximum array of applications. You

  • develop processing concepts in collaboration with our partners for the application of traceless materials as paper coatings

  • lead pilot test productions and preparations in close collaboration with our technology and product development teams

  • Help us gain an even deeper understanding of our materials as they are used in paper coating machines to understand their potential for optimization

  • Identify opportunities to optimize our material properties through changes in processing, additives and compounding, while maintaining their unique, holistic sustainability

Technical requirements

  • You have a degree in chemical engineering, material science, process engineering or similar

  • You have a sound technical understanding of paper production as well as (bio)polymer structures, interactions, processing techniques and polymer compounds

  • You have experience in managing projects independently and are not afraid of tricky challenges
