About traceless:

 

85% of the plastics produced worldwide since 1950 are still in landfills or swimming in the oceans. As they are not compostable, they cause long-term environmental and marine pollution. Their production from mostly fossil raw materials causes lasting damage to our climate. Consumers, industry and politics are looking for solutions - traceless has one!

traceless materials is a young company – with huge potential! We have developed an innovative technology to produce a novel, advanced biomaterial from agricultural residues, which can substitute plastics in products that potentially end up in nature. Our products are 100% bio-based, do not compete with food production, are fully home compostable, have up to 87% lower CO2 emissions and are competitive in quality and price. Now we have to scale-up our production capacities in order to replace as much plastic as possible. And this is where you come in!

As Product Development Intern, you will help us further optimize develop our traceless materials. With your assistance, you help us to make them applicable to a maximum array of applications to make the biggest possible contribution to solve the global plastic pollution! This role offers a great opportunity to gain experience with developing, launching, and growing a deep tech startup and establish traceless as the market leader for compostable plastic substitute materials.


You:

  • will be involved in the most important topics and get responsibility from day one

  • continuously support the development of traceless materials in close collaboration with the members of the Product Development team

  • will be involved in the planning and execution of experiments, and the collection of data and their analysis


Technical requirements:
 

  • You are a BSc/MSc student with excellent grades from a top tier university in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or another related field of study and a passion for science and sustainability

  • You have a basic technical understanding of bio(polymer) structures, interactions, processing techniques, and polymer compounds

  • You have some experience in working in a lab, possess basic knowledge of characterization techniques for polymeric materials, and are not afraid of tricky challenges

  • You are also practically minded and do not shy away from getting your hands dirty

  • You are proficient in both spoken and written English, other languages are a plus

 

Personal requirements:

  • You are a team player with an ability to communicate directly and to the point and would like to develop traceless together with us into a worldwide player on the sustainable plastic substitutes market

  • You have entrepreneurial spirit, are reliable and keen to work in a start-up - with everything that includes

  • You're down-to-earth, direct, with a sense of humor
