About traceless

We are a young company - with a big vision: a future free of pollution and waste! At traceless, we engineer advanced biomaterials that integrate into nature's biological cycle without leaving a trace. Our innovative technology allows us to produce biomaterials from plant residues that are naturally compostable and holistically sustainable. Now we need laboratory support to replace as much plastic and bioplastic as possible with our materials - and that's where you come in!

About the position

 

As an impact startup, we base our business on the environmental impact we can create by substituting plastics, in regards to saving & avoiding CO2 emissions, plastic waste, fossil resources, as well as land and water use. Since day one we have been calculating our impact based on scientific standards and making it publicly available. As a Working Student for Life Cycle Assessments, you will help us to continue calculating and optimizing our environmental impact. In particular, you will adapt our LCA model to different use cases and work with the team on measures to further improve the product and the process regarding its environmental impact. This role offers a great opportunity to gain experience in impact calculation in the area of Bioeconomy. In this position you will...

  • Identify and collect relevant data within the entire value chain

  • Select suitable methods (database, LCA software, economic balancing) in collaboration with our external LCA partner

  • Calculate and evaluate the life cycle assessments for different use cases of the material

  • LCA result visualization and communication as well as identification of impact optimization potential

 

Who we are looking for:

​

  • You are an enrolled student in engineering, natural sciences or similar

  • Ideally you have successfully completed a university or external course on Life Cycle Assessment

  • Ideally you have successfully completed at least one LCA case study using a recognized tool such as OpenLCA, Simapro, Gabi etc.

  • You think innovatively, are open-minded, a team player and have a sense of humour

  • You have good German and English skills (oral and written)
