We have amazing news: traceless won the prestigious Hamburger Gründerpreis in the start-up category! The award, initiated by the Hamburger Sparkasse and the Hamburger Abendblatt, honours entrepreneurial initiative, courage and success in the metropolitan region.

The award was presented in the Fischauktionshalle on the evening of the 5th of September during a festive event – and (nearly) the whole traceless-team was gathered on stage to receive the honorable trophy together! This year's laudators were Hamburg's First Mayor Peter Tschentscher, the Editor-in-Chief of the Hamburger Abendblatt Lars Haider and Chamber of Commerce President Norbert Aust. The other winners were real estate entrepreneur Dieter Becken in the category "Lifetime Achievement" (Lebenswerk) and the life science company nerbe plus in the category "Up-and-Coming" (Aufsteiger) - our sincere congratulations!

We’re especially happy about this recognition, considering the way Hamburg is deeply rooted in our company. Did you know our co-founder Anne is a born and raised Hamburgian, and it was here that the first ideas of traceless came about? Since traceless' founding in 2020, we have built our company around a diverse, international team, with our material innovation tackling a truly global challenge - engineered and produced in Hamburg. To put it in Anne’s words:
"Of course, I am proud of every recognition we receive with traceless, but I have to admit that this one is very special to me. With traceless we offer a solution for a greener future, and a global environmental impact - but our anchor is clearly here in Hamburg! Here, our company got founded, and we aim to locally drive innovation and create employment opportunities in the manufacturing industries. We’d also like to take this opportunity for a special thank you to the support we received within the Hamburg network from the early days onwards! For example in the form of funding by programs like Call for transfer and InnoRampUp, start-up support from Startup Dock and local business promotion programmes, and of course from universities and research institutes as well as local corporate partners and customers. That was crucial in the early stages, as the founding and early growth phase is especially challenging for hardware- and science-based startups like ours. It is amazing to be a part of a tight-knit start-up community like the one in Hamburg, and will be relevant for us in the coming years - for example, for attracting new talents!
